Certified and tested to very high, industry standards, putty mastic sealants are suitable for new installation (such as bedding new glazing in) as well as refurbishment and/or replacement work, they can be used on internal and external applications (such as glass to wood frames etc.) or anywhere else where a gap, crack, irregularity or connection joint is present, making the seal waterproof, dirt & dustproof and importantly in many cases, overpaintable to receive most coatings such as stains, paints or varnishes (testing is always strongly advised). You can think of putty mastic sealants as a kind of modern day putty replacement.
